To assist in the implementation and delivery of the RAPID Project strategic Welfare plan by leading and being fully accountable for the development, delivery and promotion of the new welfare support service.

To promote public awareness of the work of the Welfare Function in RAPID Camp and surrounding areas.

Ensuring the team (staff and volunteers) provide a holistic and personalised approach to meeting the needs of beneficiaries.

Building good working relationships with the local authority, statutory and voluntary agencies and other key partners.

Building good working relationships with the welfare support services team

Liaising with Senior Management Team to ensure the service is well managed in line with its project plan.


To support the aims and objectives of the Welfare Function

To comply with the culture and policies governing the Company.

To deliver services against agreed objectives, project indicators, plans and deadlines.

To ensure operational standards are adhered to at all times.

Develop mechanisms to ensure that service delivery is independently evaluated on a regular systematic basis by consulting with service users.

Establish, induct, manage and develop the staff and volunteer team to best meet beneficiary needs in as flexible a way as possible.

Ensure all project staff and volunteers are appropriately trained in order to carry out their duties.

Deliver direct client support to those service users whose cases are regarded as most complex.


Educated to degree level or equivalent

Demonstrable experience of a person centred approach in the delivery of welfare support services.

Experience of financial and budget management.

Experience of developing effective partnerships across a range of providers from all sectors.

Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, including ability to deliver multiple priorities.

Excellent interpersonal skills, self-aware and able to instil confidence in others.

IT literacy including proficient use of MS Office functions and databases.

Effective communication, reporting and presenting skills (verbal, written and oral) for a range of audiences.
